Catching Dreams – Native American Style

After spending two sessions designing our delightful dream catchers, we foraged for bendy twigs and feathers, then made dream catchers of all shapes and sizes.

Let’s hope those nightmares are no more 🙂

FREE CYCLE TRAINING

There will be a free cycle training course happening at our school.

If you are interested, come along to the coffee morning on the 20th April to discuss and join up.

You can even buy the bike you use for training for a mere £60, once you finish the course.

It is open to all women and should be a lot of fun as well as useful 🙂

Alpacas are Authors

We collaborated, we created and the ideas were flowing.

Some authors take month to produce a picture book, but Alpacas planned, discussed, designed and wrote books in one morning.

The children shared their creations with their friends and some parents who joined us for the morning.

Challenge:

See if you can write and illustrate a story at home with your family, friends and carers! Then you can share it in class 🙂

More toxic than Beijing!

A heart-felt thanks to all the parents and carers who joined up today, your help was a real blessing. Good to see you all getting involved and sharing your ideas.

I have photographed and collected together all of the inspiring art work and plan to forward them to Sadiq Khan (London mayor) and Kate Hoey (MP for Lambeth) this evening.

I will update when I hear anything back from either of them.

Let’s clean up London’s dirty air together!!!

Italy comes to Alpaca class

Bonjourno!

An enormous thank you to Kayleigh’s mother for taking the time to share her experiences growing in Verona, Italy.

We learnt a great deal of useful information such as:

– children don’t wear school uniform

– there are 144 cities in Italy (many more than the UK)

– children have 3 months holiday in the summer, as it is too hot to be sitting in a stuffy classroom.

  • children go to school on a Saturday (I think we all agree it is great to have a couple of days break each week) 🙂
